Forest Terrain Hunter Rifle ( FTHR)

FTR stands for Forest Terrain Rifle.  This model is a short handy carbine type rifle with a short 18"- 20" barrel, primerily designed for use in backwoods hunting and on drive game hunts or followups in tight cover. It doubles however as a very handy all round rifle, is excellent for use with a sound moderator and is certainly capable out to extended hunting ranges. This rifle combines compactness and accuracy with excellent ergonomics and dependability. Depending on caliber choice it is also an excellent choice as a dangerouse game rifle or a rifle to be used when tracking wounded game.Compatible with calibers from .223Rem  - WSM-.450Marlin on the short action and 6.5x55- .458Win Mag on the long action.

110 FTHR

The Roedale 110 FTHR is based on the Avenger II Short Action. Typicaly the Roedale Model 110 FTHR is used in .260Rem and .308Win as a short, handy, allround do everything carbine.  It is also very usefull in .223Rem and .243Win as a Fox - Muntjak - Coyotee rifle, or in .300WSM to  9.3RSM for larger game species including African plains game. The 9.3RSM gives similar performance to the .375H&H and the FTHR in .450 Marlin is certainly a very capable rifle for the larger African game species bieng similar in performance to the .458WinMag.

We have noticed a trend in the popularity of the .308win, especialy in this short handy rifle used with a sound moderator,  with many customers turning away from multi caliber, straight pull, switch barrel rifles and  going back to basics. Returning to a single do it all rifle in a standard caliber offers many advantages. By tayloring the ammunition to the required use it is possible to cover most hunting situations with one rifle in one caliber.
 "Beware the man with one gun, he likely knows how to use it"  rings true and we expect this trend to continue with the introduction of regulations with regards to lead free bullets. Typicaly the Roedale Model 110 FTHR is used in .260Rem and .308Win as an allround do everything rifle.  It is also highly popular in .300WSM and 7mmRSAUM for long range game hunting situations on larger game

119 FTHR

The Roedale 119 FTHR is based on the Avenger II Long Action.Typicaly the Roedale Model 119 FTHR is used in calibers 30-06 and  9.3x62  as a hard hitting, short, handy, allround do everything carbine.We are very please to be able to offer this rifle in the 8.5x63 Reb caliber.  We expect to see it becomming popular in this claiber as well as in the .375 Ruger over the next couple of years.
